Aiden now has a few things he must do everyday. He has really mastered the art of pitching fits until he gets his way. So now everyday we make sure we jump on our bed, go outside for some activity, and of course play with and say ball 50 times a day. If Todd or I forget to shut the door to our bedroom we will no doubt hear him whining in our room pulling on our sheets and comfortor. This is a lot of fun but also kind of sad for me as well. Aiden always, like clockwork would wake up at 5 am wanting to come and sleep with us. Now if we put him in our bed he thinks it is playtime. I miss my naps with him, but playtime is great fun as well. Here is a clip of him!Thursday, September 27, 2007

Sharing
I consider almost every moment I spend with Aiden to be a moment to forever remember, but there are some that tend to be higher up on the memory list. Today we shared a bowl of cereal. Simple I know and its not even the first time we have shared a bowl. However today he sat in his highchair and I sat on the other side. I put my bowl in the middle of his high chair and I had my spoon and he had his. He thought it was the greatest thing! It was so much fun just to share my Apple Jacks with him! He is by far (besides being married to my husband) the best thing I have ever done!

Bath time made even better!
Aiden really loves his baths. The only part he doesn't like is when we wash his hair. Other than that we have a hard time getting him out! He has all kinds of bath toys now and loves to play his "bathketball" in the tub. I was recently at target buying a birthday gift for a friends little girl and I decided to see if there was just anything Aiden couldn't live without. Well I found something. We are really working with Aiden on lots of things like his colors. I use his bath time as educational time as well. Well this product made me instantly come up with a trillion reasons why he just had to have it.
-It was good for teaching him colors (green, red, and yellow)
-He loves his bath time, and he would love it.
-He likes to color now
-The control freak in me saw the benefits in killing two birds with one stone
What is this great product? Bath finger paints. OMG! What a great idea. Why couldn't I have thought of that. He is already in the bath so he will be getting cleaned right up. The even better part is the finger paints turn into bubbles and wash right off leaving no stains! Genius I tell you! This is a way for me to let lose of freaking out about a mess and let Aiden have lots of fun!

Funny Face
I took Aiden to the doctor on Friday because he had been running a low fever for a few days and I wanted to make sure that he didnt have an ear infection. He didnt have a thing wrong with him. My mom was with me cause I still cant drive from surgery so we decided to see if my sister wanted to join us for lunch. We went to the Pink House in Claremore and Aiden was in a funny face mood. Aiden and Aunt Kimberlee were making these funny faces to each other. He was having a blast, but if you look at Brady in the side of the picture he could care less about the fun they were having, all he cared about was finding a way to get the last remaining gold fish on the table!

Happy Birthday Stacy!
Well my wonderful friend Stacy is turning 28 today! So I thought I needed to post something about her. She is a wonderful friend. I can count on her for anything! For the last seven years I think there has only been a handful of times that we haven't talked everyday! She has a very sweet spirit. She will do anything for anyone and thinks of others before she thinks of herself. I love her dearly and I am very thankful for our friendship. So Happy Birthday Stacy!

Surgery
Just thought I would share with you all that surgery went well. No complications, but the doctor did use staples instead of stitches (I did not want staples), but I guess the Doc knows best huh? Its more that I just don't want to get them out cause its gonna hurt! I am very tired and feeling some pain but mostly soreness and I think I try to do too much. I do feel that I have been tremendously blessed through this time. My family and friends have been wonderful to me. Todd has taken very good care of me. My mom and my dad went to the hospital with us and they check on me a lot! My mom is coming to stay with me and my sister may come up on Friday. My friends have been wonderful to call and check on me and pray for me. Our Sunday school class is bringing us dinner this week, which is a huge blessing! I just feel really blessed. So thank you to all who have blessed us! We love you all.

My sweet Nephew

Ok so my sister was glad that I started a blog but was saddened that I hadnt updated it in a few days. Well sister dear here you go, but what she really wanted was more posts about her baby boy. I just love Mr. Brady. He is so sweet and really cute! I think he has his mommy's eyes. Well they came over a few saturdays ago to watch the OU football game and Her and Brad were very tired. They both ended up falling asleep on my floor and couch. Aiden was napping so Todd thought it was a good idea for him to jump on the nap bandwagon. So there was Brady and me left. He was a little tired himself so I guess I thought we needed to go ahead and join rest of our household and nap. Nap indeed we did. We all ended up sleeping for about 2 hours. I was happy to hold him because I felt like I was helping my sister get some well deserved rest and I wanted to bond with Brady. Besides Aiden never lets me hold him like that anymore, so I loved napping with a sweet baby boy! I love you Brady!!!!
ps. Kimberlee...send me pics and I will post them!
Fun at Stacy's

We have been so blessed to have Aiden being watched by people that really love and care for him. He doesnt have to go to a public daycare (not that they are bad, but we wanted him to be with people we knew). He loves being at Stacy's cause of Luke, McKenna, and of course Stacy! Here is a really sweet picture she took of him this past week. Thank you Stacy for loving my baby! He loves you too!
Brushing Aidens Tooth (oops now teeth)
Since Aiden's first tooth popped up a month or so ago, I decided that weshould introduce a toothbrush and toothpaste. He loves it. He gets so excited in the mornings when I ask "Aiden, do you want to brush your teeth." He runs for the bathroom and knows exactly where his toothbrush and toothpaste are. His daddy and I used to ask him if he wanted to brush his tooth, but now he has two and a third on the way so we have to say teeth now. He really enjoys the training toothpaste and he wants me to reapply the toothpaste often and gets mad at me when I wont. Here are a few pics of him brushing his teeth and a short video clip.

Im A Sooner born and a Sooner bred!
Aiden and Mommys first conversation
So Aiden and I had a brief chat the other morning. We were getting ready for Sunday school and church and Aiden was sitting on our bathroom counter "helping" me get ready. I was done doing my hair and makeup and preceeded to ask Aiden a question
Mommy: "Aiden, are you ready to get down?"
Aiden: "No."
Mommy: "Did you say no?"
Aiden: "No!"
Mommy: "Aiden"
Aiden; "Mom?"
This was the best conversation I have had! These three little sentences spoken back and forth meant the world to me. How did I ever become so lucky to have such a wonderful baby boy!

To our family and friends
Well most of you know that I generally use Myspace, but it was brought to my attention while on the phone with a coworker that she never gets to see pictures of Aiden. I wondered how many of our friends and family would appreciate being updated on our family (mainly Aiden) from time to time. So this is something that will allow our family and friends to enjoy pictures and stories of our family. I truly hope whoever reads this will enjoy it!
