A trip to the lake

Our Sunday School class had a over night fellowship at Skiatook lake. We grilled burgers and let the kids play! We were right next to the playground so the kids loved that, the big boys played horse shoes and other games. Us girls do what we do best, TALK! Todd and Aiden stayed but I came home and went back the next morning for more fun. We went down to the swim area and my goodness that lake water was freezing. Jill made us all do it! She is crazy fun like that! It was such a good time for all the kids! We all had so much fun and I love being apart of such a great class!

they had so much fun dumping all that sand on me. Parker wanted to completely bury me but I just couldn't do it!
I decided to be a good sport and let them bury me! Man I had so much sand in places I didn't even know I had!

sweet Chandler! Love that chubby little guy!Hunter Jack was ready to get in that water!

All the kiddos loved playing in the tents. They thought nothing could get much better than that!

What how did my baby turn 4!!!!

Aiden's birthday party was so much fun. It was hot but it had a nice breeze. Since we did it on a week night there was no one there and they could pretty much ride without waiting in lines! The boys thought they were really something with all of them there together. Aiden got some really cool gifts (thank you cards to come I promise) enjoyed having a really good cake that someone very special to him made (thanks Auntie M) and thought he was something big since he is FOUR now! Happy Birthday to my sweet boy whom I love so much! You make mommy's world! I couldn't imagine my life without you! I love your precious smile. How you can con pretty much any one out of anything! How you can be so sweet and loving, and then how you can be a rowdy boy two seconds later! There is no doubt you are all boy or your mothers child with your charm. I am so thankful that we have some amazing family and friends and I hope they stay that way for life! Cant wait to see what four years old has in store for us baby boy!
Luke Duke totally rocking his blue snow cone!

Aiden Parker and Peyton!Mr Eli enjoying some cake!

Since it was his birthday party we let him have his own pop! He thought that was pretty darn cool!
Sweet Mackey! I just love this baby girl so much!
This is Brady's favorite spot at the kiddie park!
I think Landon likes the cake too!

sweet Aliyah who was born 2 days before Aiden!Hunter Jack really enjoying his cake!

I am so thankful my Aunt always does his cakes. She always does such a good job! We love you Aunti M!!!!
Aiden thought it was very tasty too
I love you baby boy! More than you will ever know! I am so thankful for you!

Fireman Aiden

My step mom was so upset (as was I) that the shift that was on at the Bartlesville fire department wouldn't come out to his birthday party after the other shift had agreed to do it but since having to move the party to the next night due to rain it wasn't the same shift. I even had the fire chief call and try to get him to ask the lead fireman to do him a favor and he wouldn't budge. I was heartbroken but like any four year old he didn't seem to mind when he had all his buddies there to ride all the rides with him. But lucky for us my cousin is a fireman at a station in Tulsa. My step mom arranged for us to go out to his fire house and not only get a private tour of the station but for the boys to actually get to ride in the fire truck! OMgoodness Aiden was fired up! Before we left the house to go he made me promise to not forget his fire hat, jacket and boots. He did not care that it was 100 degrees out and that it would be burning out in a sleeveless outfit much less boots a jacket and a helmet! But the heat didn't stop him from wearing it the entire 45 minutes we were in the heat! I am so glad that he got to do this! This was such a fun thing for all of us to get to do as a family!
Poor Brady boy was afraid they were going to sound the sirens and it would hurt his ears. But I think he had a fun time!
The firemen were so nice to put on all their gear in the 100 degree heat that day and pose for a picture. They said that since Aiden had all his gear on they could bear the heat for a few minutes to make his day! and make his day it did!

this one is my favorite!
A big thanks to my cousin Josh for making this happen. Aiden loved every second of it!

Love my little fireman!

Snow Cones and Golfing

We went and got our first snow cones of the summer last night and man mine was good. But I was a little sad because I got a Bahama Mamma which is what we drank while laying in our pool lounge chairs in Mexico and no Mexico for us this summer :( but we did have a great time eating our snow cones down at "the lake" ( by home depot) then when we got back we headed down to the golf course for a little putting action. Aiden looks so stinking cute when he carries his golf bag! He loves to go whack those balls! Daddy keeps trying to teach him how to line up with the hole but that really isn't what Aiden loves about golf. Its not about going in the hole for him, its about whacking that ball as hard as he can!!! We always have so much fun when we go down to hole number 3. It makes for some great summer evening memories! We took Oskey and he just wanted to play the whole time and the only thing he could find to play with was his leash! Aiden sure does love his puppy!

Swim Lessons

I was so glad that I mentioned to Katie that I was getting ready to sign Aiden up for swim lessons at the Y because I knew she wanted Parker to go too and she found a girl who does swim lessons at her house!!! She is amazing with the kids! It has been really good I just wish it was longer than just a week! 30 minutes is just about the right amount of time! Aiden has a healthy fear of the water which is good that he isn't over confident but I wish he wasn't so scared of getting water in his face. He went down the slide on Monday and really didn't want to on Tuesday or today but he did it and I was proud of him for that! I feel like my baby has turned into a big boy right before my very eyes! He is getting so big and learning so many new things right now! I am just soaking it all up! So glad Katie found Miss Kendall! She is perfect for what we needed and we cant wait to sign up again at the end of June.

Baby of Grace

Many of you know our struggles to have another child. I have decided to start a new blog devoted to our journey. I think I needed a place for me to let go of how I feel and journal our process. If you feel like following our journey there is a link on this blog called babyofgrace. Please know that I am going to say exactly how I feel. If I hurt your feelings in any way please know that is not my intentions. I am doing this for me, but I know that for family and friends sometimes it is hard for them to ask me to tell them what is going on or for me to want to tell everyone all the time. I think this is going to be a great way for me to stop stressing, to start letting go and letting God! I am excited that God is going to reveal His beauty and perfect will for our family. So here we go.....

Totally Blog Worthy

Boys will be boys!!!! that is a phrase I am coming to learn the full extent of its meaning. This was all Daddy's idea but Aiden sure didn't hesitate to jump right in. Our backyard holds a lot of water even when it rains a minimal amount so its like we have a small pond in our backyard over the past week with all the rain. It first started out with Aiden running through all the water puddles in his CHURCH CLOTHES and his rain boots. I was a little upset about the CHURCH CLOTHES but Todd said it was no big deal. So I came back in to finish folding laundry and came out to this....

Aiden had to potty while outside so we told him to just go pee pee on the grass and he decided that pottying on the fence was a much cooler idea and even proclaimed to us how wonderful his drawing was! He was so proud of what he and his bodily functions could do!

Giving him a shower was a chore at its least. He had mud everywhere! But he had so much fun doing it! I love my little boy and all the little boy things he does!
